Broad Haven
Broad Haven is probably the most popular and safest beach in St Bride's Bay. There are good facilities for parking, refreshments and accommodation of all kinds including a Youth Hostel. The cliffs to the north display some very interesting geological features as well as some superb rock pools on the tideline below.

Broad Haven provides an ideal location for a traditional seaside holiday holiday. It is equally conveniently located for visits to St Davids and the North Pembrokeshire coastline as well as Haverfordwest and Milford Haven to the south. The beach is a paradise for children and is one of the finest and safest in Pembrokeshire. Below the cliffs there are numerous rock pools and on the north end of the beach is the craggy Lions Head. Haven Sports have a well stocked water sports shop near the sea front. They also offer surf board and kayak hire.

Other sea front facilities include The Galleon pub, The Nautilus cafe bar, The Anchor bistro and a well stocked village shop. Another pub, The Royal, is set further back in the older part of the village. There's a large Youth Hostel in Broad Haven that is perfect for Coast Path walkers and groups.

The Coast Path in either direction is fairly gentle without too many up's and down's. To the south, a good stroll will take you to St Brides Bay via Little Haven or heading north, a good place to head for would be Newgale, past Druidston Haven and Nolton Haven. The coastal bus services can then return you to Broad Haven.

At low tide you can walk from Broad Haven to Little Haven along the beach past a bay called The Settlands

There are plenty of small camp sites and caravan sites nearby. There are some quality B&B's and farm guesthouses in the vicinity and in nearby Little Haven. There are plenty of self catering cottages all along St Brides Bay, including some of the cottages in Broad Haven itself.
Beach Awards
Broad Haven beach has a Blue Flag Award and a Seaside Award. A Blue Flag is the highest award for beaches. Blue Flag beaches meet the highest levels of water quality plus 25 other criteria including lifeguards, dog controls and public toilets. The same standard applies across Europe. A Seaside Award is a UK scheme for beaches that meet at least the mandatory standard for water quality. They are either resort or rural beaches and may not be designated as bathing beaches.
