Kilgetty and Begelly
Kilgetty is a village a few miles north of Tenby. Thanks to a fairly recent bypass, it’s now a quite quiet and peaceful. Avondale Glass Blowing studio can be found on the west end of the village. Originally set up in 1976 by Vicenzo Speranza, who worked in the great glass houses of Italy from the age of 10 as well as in Germany, Switzerland, France, Sweden and Malta, before settling in the UK. The business has since been handed down to his son and then his grandson!

Begelly is a neighbouring village on the A478. One of Pembrokeshire best known attractions can be found here: Folly Farm.
Folly Farm started as a humble farm park but has grown over the years to become a fantastic childrens attraction with a zoo, vintage funfair and indoor and outdoor adventure play as well as the farm attractions.

Between Begelly and Kilgetty is another attraction; The Begelly Countryside Gardens & Monkey Sanctuary, 12 Acres of countryside, lakeside and woodland walks, Oriental theme garden, water features and wild flower meadows. There’s also a small monkey sanctuary and a badger and otter population plus café and tearooms.
There is one hotel in Begelly and an Inn in Kilgetty offering accommodation. There are also one or two B&B’s and guesthouses in neighbouring villages, although most of the accommodation is nearer to the coast. There are several camping sites and touring caravan sites nearby in Pentlepoir, Broadmoor and Stepaside. There are also several Holiday Parks where you can rent self catering static caravans at Amroth, Wisemans Bridge and Saunderfoot.
