Trefin or Trevine
Trefin being the Welsh spelling and Trevine the now unused English version. Trefin is a small coastal community on the north coast of St Davids Peninsula between Porthgain and Abercastle. The village is set back from the coast by a short distance.

On the edge of Trefin on the west side is a small low tide beach at Aber Draw or Aber Felin. The path down to the beach passes a ruined mill complete with mill stones.

Trefin has a pub, The Ship Inn, a post office and an Art Gallery.
Oriel Y Felin Art Gallery and Tea Room displays the atmospheric works by resident St. David's artist Pauline Beynon, plus a constantly changing selection of paintings, prints, cards, ceramics and jewellery. The Tea Rooms serve homemade soups, light lunches and teas and coffees. They also serve Welsh black beef and local Abercastle crab when in season.
The Ship Inn serve food at lunchtimes and evenings using fresh locally caught mackerel and other fresh fish.
There is an independantly run Youth Hostel in Trefin. The nearest hotel would be in St Davids. There are is a B&B’s and a guesthouses in Tefin plus a caravan park with self catering static caravans and camping for tents and touring caravans.
The Coast Path walking in either direction is superb. This is the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park at it's best. Walk west to Portgain, The Blue Lagoon and Abereiddi. Walk east to Abercastle, Aber Mawr and Pwll Deri. There are numerous climbs and drops to tiny beaches but the gradients aren't excessive.

The most notable recent event in Trefin's history was the wedding of Cerys Matthews, lead singer of Catatonia, in the tiny chapel in Trefin. Cerys Matthews arrived for her wedding, country style, on the back of her fathers vintage 1930s tractor. Old tractors are very popular here. The Croesgoch tractor rally is held in September every year with hundreds of strange and unusulal vehicles turning out. You can see them at Abereiddi.
